BeefJack: "Still, Red Sun Rising is a reasonable time-waster. For the relatively low cost, you get a solid enough flight simulation game, albeit one that’s often enormously frustrating. The AI and difficulty curve need to be addressed in future episodes of this trilogy, severely hampering the game as they do. It looks great, especially for a WiiWare release – it’s just the shame the game never excels elsewhere."
