148Apps: Shining Force Review

148Apps writes: "Sega has taken to unleashing their back catalog of Genesis classics on to the App Store, and they’ve now unleashed their strategy RPG progenitor Shining Force onto the App Store. It sometimes shows its age, but also holds up remarkably well to this day. The story is a typical ‘young warrior leaves home, leads ragtag band of adventurers on quest to destroy ancient evil’ one, but the game is all about relatively uncomplicated strategy-RPG gameplay".

Yes OMG.. I didn't know it was called this.. In Europe it was called Soleil.
I remember restarting it as soon as I finished it..

Story of Thor, Light Crusader deserve a special mention!!!

MrChow6661261d ago

Yui_Suzumiya1261d ago

Jiub1262d ago

Man I loved Snatcher. Such a great game!

Einhander19711465d ago

Silpheed, Android Assault, Lords of thunder, Solfeace, flying squadron. That's why I own Mega cd.

CrimsonWing691465d ago

Maybe one day Konami won’t be lame and they can release a Sega CD collection with Snatcher.

Neonridr1465d ago

the only problem with owning a Sega CD is the hardware is less than reliable nowadays. I have an Analogue Mega SG which is an updated version of a genesis along with a Mega SD cartridge which allows me to play Sega CD games off of it. I have the entire Genesis / Sega CD library on the cart and it's great. Although many of these games do not hold up well, lol.

To be honest I own the original tech, but i also have a raspberry pi build with all Mega cd games I want. So the old tech doesn't die.

How about all of them? If you're going to release this thing, then include every Mega Drive game published by Sega.

If you're not going to include all of them, then what is the point? People are just going to buy the Mega Drive Collection on pc, ps4, xbox one or Switch.
