Duke Nukem used to a bit of a system seller back in the day, when multiplatform games were often distinctly different from each other. Here's how it could be the same again...
BETTER WITH KINECT? Did I read that correctly? Aplha, No I read the article to see if it was justified. It did seem like more of a joke. Kinect is the punchline
It's not meant to be taken seriously, did you read only the title? Edit: Good, It most definitely is a joke :P
"You can actually use the kick function" YES.
This was pretty funny.
That's because it is a joke buddy ;)
Lol. This article was worth the read.
j/k Just imagine this moment revisited with a Kinect and Duke.... " Im gonna rip your head off and SH*t down your neck" Play it out.... Ewww.....
"Aplha, No I read the article to see if it was justified. It did seem like more of a joke. Kinect is the punchline" No you didn't. You read it after alpha replied to you.
I think I threw up when I read the title. I'm calling the fucking cops, man
"PEW, PEW, PEW, PEW" Kevin Buttler BUTTONS.
only 4 reasons and all of them are crap, I still dunno how xbots can justify the price of the device
Kinect is basically an Eyetoy but mircosoft made a fancy name just so xbox 360 owners would gobble it all up and fill their pockets full of money. Also Duke Nukem Forever should and only be on the PC!
I'm inclined to believe the article is a joke.
I'm inclined to agree....
It's not a serious article.
*slowly backs away from article*
It has to be a joke, Duke is one of the very few games that i cannot play unless its with a mouse and keyboard, (or just a keyboard as i used to play since i didnt have a mouse at the time of Dukes launch)
Of course it's a joke
do you really have to waste a bubble on every single comment that says "it has to be a joke" and then reply saying "yes its a joke" we know its a joke, you dont need to confirm it
Do you get a cookie every time you tell people it's a joke article?
awsome, now people can take pisses while playing and actually contribute towards the gameplay
No. No. No. No.
It's not a serious article
Funny article ^^ I think I preferred no. 2 the most :D But you can already do that in any MP match xD
Kinecting people with Dukes awesome Attitude! :D No, i keed, i hate Kinect.
Only four reasons... Uhm every reason is better then having Kinect. Including buying a Virtual-Boy on E-bay instead of buying Kinect :-)
and the most wtf article of the day goes to...
Am I the only one saddened by the lack of sense of humor people have nowadays. *sigh* Lighten up people!!
Four reasons? What? Are we too brain dead and lacking the creativity to do 10 or even 5?
This article can't be serious! it simply can't.
Even though the article is a joke, it WOULDN'T be cool to do the motion of kicking a field goal with an alien's eye? I guess I am just lame, but that would be pretty cool for me. Or how about replacing QTE's with gestures? I know for a fact that ripping Helios' head off in God of War 3 would have been immensely more satisfy miming the motion of doing it instead of mashing a button (for me anyway). Buttons are great for a lot of things, but I believe doing the motions of certain things in a game would be awesome.
Not only does that sound really cool, I would buy a 360 and Kinect just for that. The game would make millions too, as the media would pick up on it eventually and advertise it as the next "murder simulator". This would inevitably lead to children the world over begging their parents for it. I would love a GOW clone specifically designed for Move. Actually, just add Move support to Demon's Souls so I can put another 100 hours into it. I'm rambling, but the point is that motion control has so much potential. I can't wait to see what it's evolved into in another 5-10 years.
Number 1 would get messy very quickly. Come to think of it, why wasn't number one actually number two? See what I did there? Alright....at least I tried :)
