Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions is something that webheads have been owed for a while now. It easily deserves a spot at the top of the franchise’s long video game history, along with the first two Spider-Man movie tie-ins, Maximum Carnage, the first PlayStation game, and Sega’s 1991 arcade title. After a long string of epic disappointments, it’s nice to enjoy a Spider-Man game so much that GamePro is actually looking forward to replaying the missions with new abilities and new costumes. Even if you’ve been burned on lackluster Spider-Man titles before, don’t miss this game – Shattered Dimensions simply isn’t the one to skip.
TW: “With the recent release of the sequel film, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, I’ve been revisiting the astounding world of the Spider-Verse, enjoying both the prequel and the new sequel film in all their glory; and it’s led me to ask one question — why the hell isn’t there a Spider-Verse game?”
I too would like a whole game with the entire world looking like the animated movie. It could be awesome
Sometimes, companies feel they have to add a little star power to their games. So, they call in actual stars. Take a look at ten times where pulling in celebrities was a great idea.
Before Insomniac, there was Beenox; the studio reminisces on Shattered Dimensions, Edge of Time, and more
"I only wish we had five years on any one of the Spider-Man games we made!"
Well, you don't have to work for Activision ya know. But yeah, they did a fair job considering the limited resources and well....Activision.
TASM2 was like the last superhero movie that had a movie tie-in game accompanying it
cant wait to play this game
Got the game yesterday and have to say so far its pretty good. I like the fact that all spider men look different not just their costumes but the actual design they have.
this is maybe one of the best superhero games alongside infamous and batman AA
I too was ready to pass this as the yearly spiderman crappy gta from activision ...
And while i still wont be thrilled by the ideas of them retaining any of marvel's licences , i gotta admit my opinion about Shattered dimensions changed .. especially since i learned it wouldnt be a sandbox game , but a nice hub system with linear paths .
I doubt it's as good as Batman AA , but it does looks awesome for once
