Gamers still have quite a bit of time to kill before the third installment in Volition's popular open-world action game Saints Row takes to the streets, presumably in 2012. Today, THQ announced its newest scheme to get gamers interested in the series before Saints Row 3's release, confirming the Saints Row Double Pack will be available on September 7 for $29.99.

I like Saints Row, but I don't think I'll forget how the crowd at E3 laughed when Saints Row was announced for the 3DS.

Allright, so Xbox 360 only owners should go and rape EA's boss because both Dead Space 2 and Medal Of Honor will ship with Dead Space: Extraction and Medal Of Honor: Frontline for PS3 according to your logic. Just shut up and try to be nice once.
its because DS2 and DS:E fit on one disc as EA stated and they dont want to ship out on 2 discs for the 360, and MoH:Frontlines made its debut on PS2 and its just a throw back for older fans of MoH and it fits on one disc too.
It seems this is a general problem here with some fanboys. You are reading the whole comment but only remembering the specific parts which will make you think that I'm saying something bad about the PS3. He doesn't have any right to say this;

If nothing, this is being immature at best. First Saints Row was released for the Xbox 360 just like Medal Of Honor: Frontlines released for PS2. They could've released it for the Xbox 360 but they didn't and it's a business choice just like THQ's choice of not re-releasing Saints Row for PS3. And you have to respect that instead of throwing curses at Microsoft.
Is like a countermeasure Microsoft pull out against the HD collections for the PS3, probably we're gonna see more of this from Microsoft part..
Or maybe, just maybe...the developers didn't want to make a port of the original for the PS3 a's they are busy working on the third installment. Don't point blame, besides the first game was an exclusive and maybe Volition wanted to stay true to that...
According to Amazon and GameStop, Saints Row Platinum - 2 Pack is coming to Xbox 360 later this year.

I wouldn't usually trust a retailer, but with it being listed on multiple sites, I can see that it's all-but confirmed...
I can say this is true and not a rumor. My girl works at a game store and this is in the computer. So if you are a Saints Row fan, its coming.
It was too bad that they didn't finish it. Oh well, they did it to make SR2, so...
I almost thought that they were going to bring out some new DLC for SR1.
SR2 was ok but got turned off by the multi player. I mean why in the world would you change something that 90% of your fans enjoyed - Protect the pimp,Blinged out ride.
SR3 better have a MASSIVE Gang creation tool and they better try to go back to SR1 mutli player formula or I wont be buying SR3.
Putting Platinum and Xbox 360 in the same sentence threw me for quite a loop. I haven't played a SR game period and this may be good for me. Though some people keep saying just wait for SR3 so will have to see what the price is on this one versus the 20.00 one on PS3.
Go get SR1 right now - its only $15.
Skip SR2 unless you can get it for dirt cheap - if you enjoyed San Andres you will enjoy SR1. yOU HAVE MY WORD.
Saints Row 1 - if so can not wait to see what the online is going to be like. SR 1 introduced me to online gaming and had lots of fun at it.
I still check out the online on the 360 but since SR2 dropped (Hate the online) the rooms have been empty.
Lets hope the PS3 COMMUNITY brings SR1 online back.

WTF THQ, MS did not pay for SR1 exclusive and was only released on the 360 because the PS3 was not out at the time. How hard can it be to port this game over and have people who havent played it, get a go at it.
