Since Mass Effect 1 was published by Microsoft Game Studios; it is literally impossible to publish it on the PS3. The second one was published by EA, there’s a lot of creative distribution whacky whacky googlies that stop Bioware pumping out the first one on the PS3. So, how can they bring new players up to speed with the lore of Mass Effect while not alienating the cross-platform players or those wanting to experience a different platform?
One of the best things about the Mas Effect series is the companions you meet along the way. So here is a tier list of all the companions from Mass Effect!
To think that Bioware at some point was capable of doing games like this, you see those characters and remember them like good old friends, and now check ME Andromeda, Anthem, Veilguard etc and wonder what the hell happened.

Time to do some research people. Mass Effect 1 was only published by Microsoft on the 360. The PC version was published by Electronic Arts.
The decision not to bring Mass Effect to the PS3 is likely development/money based rather than exclusivity. The older version of the U3 engine used in ME1 wasn't very PS3 friendly and would require a great deal more recoding and engineering to port over assets. From a financial investment point of view, what Bioware have decided to do makes more sense.
Be aware they also have to get PS3 gamers up to speed before ME3 is announced. Dropping two games on the market doesn't allow enough time. Also, putting both on one disc and charging the right price doesn't allow a satisfactory percentage of the dev investment for ME1 to be recouped while still providing a profit.
Haven't played ME2 yet. Will probably wait for the PS3 version because it will contain extras and probably all DLC to date.
REALLY

IMO its the only franchise the 360 had that i wanted!!! I dont play PC
I was going to purchase a 360 to play Mass Effect. No need for that anymore.
