Amazon France Lists Splinter Cell Trilogy & Prince of Persia Trilogy for PS3

Ubisoft is preparing some sort of Splinter Cell Trilogy & Prince of Persia Trilogy for PlayStation 3, if a new listing by Amazon France is to be believed. The site’s listing the game for a November 2 release – in France, at least – for EUR 39.95, which is around $60 USD.

$60? *looks at GoW collection and Sly Cooper trilogy* Knock off $20 and we'll talk, I can go buy all 6 ps2 S.C. and PoP titles and still have change left over. The first Splinter Cell games are like $2 and $5 used.

don't worry about the 60$ price. 60$ games sell for 60 euros in europe, even though that's worth 90$. we europeans really get ripped off.

Believe me, Shenmue will be coming, if SEGA stay true to their word that they will be releasing their Dreamcast classics on PSN.

Sonic Adventure and Crazy Taxi are the first to come. Shenmue is definitely a DC classic so it should make it's way eventually.

Im talking about the fact that he said you can get them used on PS2 for cheap.And pointing out that they will have the HD/Trophy treatment.

Thereby making them a much better value than buying some used low-res PS2 games.Still, i don't think it's worth $60 but who knows what Ubi will charge for it.It's the first third party publisher to do the HD collection thing aside from Sony.Their IP's, their rules.

To be honest I would gladly pay 60 bucks to play a remastered HD version of Splinter Cell Chaos Theory and that's not counting the other 2 games that would be coming with it.

That said it says that it's 39:95 euro's and normally that number is the same in the US meaning it will likely be 39:95 US which is about what you would expect a HD remaster collection to be.

As much as I love Splinter Cell, it's alittle expensive for 3 games I already own that they want me to rebuy. If they are REMAKES then that's ok, if they are REMASTERED, they're really going to have to convince me...I don't think trophies and a HD upgrade warrants anyone to rebuy them, unless they don't originally own them.

IMO they are attempting to get the people that may have never played these games to go out and buy them... that's just what I think anyway; because otherwise I agree paying 60 bucks is a bit steep for games I've already played through dozens of times. Being Remastered in HD and adding trophies isn't worth the asking price

Yep, now that the industry see's how people are willing to pay for bundled old games, they will release alot more of this junk.

I bet M$ is kicking itself for having FREE backwards compatible games. Look at Sony and how well they are doing abusing it's fanbase with games nobody wanted new. Sony are selling remastered version of classic games with trophies and selling them for $40 ( for 2 games)
Microsoft are ALSO selling xbox games on their Marketplace while removing features... like the online component of games.

I don't think this will happen. The original Splinter Cell was first on the Xbox and Conviction is only on Xbox 360 when it comes to consoles.

Not too interested in Splinter Cell trilogy, I have played all the first 3 games many times over, If I hadn't I would definately buy it. I have only played Warrior Within (POP) so I would get POP for the other two games I haven't played. Just got new POP game (the forgotten sands) and its good so far (about 2 hours in), just like the originals. Didn't like the last POP, the cartoony one, but the rest seem alright.
I would buy a Silent Hill compilation, only seen others play them and they look great. Got Homecoming and like that.

Yeh i'd like to play silent hill remastered in hd tbh. Back in the day i never played silent hill but bet i'd love them now. I did actually buy SH2 and was enjoying it till my ps3 died and now of course my current 1 doesn't have backwards compatibility.
