The rumors we were true -- the next Tony Hawk title, Tony Hawk: SHRED, will feature both skateboarding and snowboarding, a first for the series.
The confirmation comes from today's financial call, where the publisher talked about its upcoming release for holiday 2011. The title, which uses the peripheral that shipped with last year's critically panned Tony Hawk: RIDE, is said to feature tighter, update controls.
We know there’s a new Tony Hawk’s in the works, but it should feel like the oldest of entries to the series.
There's a new Tony Hawk game coming?
Cautiously optimistic. I want the series to end on a positive note but the last what like 6 entries have been severely disappointing. Hope this one ends the curse.
I think the series went downhill when they had all the jackass characters in the game..
I support this article. THPS2 - best Tony Hawk EVAH. The franchise needs to drop the gimmicks and get back to what matters - addictive, thrilling skateboarding.
Move over Lindsay. Step aside Amanda. Miley who? Justin Bieber is everyone’s favorite train wreck celebrity of the day and just like he’s gone off track so have these 4 franchises that used to have gamer’s wallets at their mercy…. and now, they’re just sad and broken.
Gears of War number 1... Seriously?
@Colts_15 I did, Gears of War is number 1... Did you even read the article?
Buy.com have released their deal of the day for April 27th.
Today they are offering Resistance 3 for the PS3.
oh for the love of god give it up already, the series is dead.
I will only buy it if it has Bam Margera /s.
Please, for the sake of my sanity............ no more TH games with the silly skate board controller, and secondly, if extreme sports games are going to have stupid analog controls from now on at least make it optional to play these games in a classic style where you press buttons to pull off insane moves and combos......
You can play games Like Tiger woods with both analog controls and the classic 3 button click system, why not input this in to skate games?
Thanks to analog controls i have not enjoyed an extreme sports game since Tony Hawks Project 8.
i miss the old TH games ya... like when they were fun.
Although Tony Hawk makes money from this, you got to wonder whether he wouldn't mind changing his name or something?
