Blast Factor: Multiplayer Pack is a very simple expansion. If you don't own Blast Factor already, you'll need to get that first, of course. But you should probably read IGN's review before you run to your PS3, hands shaking in anticipation, and start your download. After all, there's a better game of the same type to get, and that game is Super Stardust HD. But we don't have to talk about that. IGN shouldn't. Because you probably already own Super Stardust, so you know how fantastic it is. Moving on...
Sony's PSN shooter Blast Factor has finally got a Trophy Patch in Europe - start up the game and you'll be prompted to update the title to 2.01, and there you go - Trophies!
About time we in Europe got this patch! We've had to wait long enough for it, but it's nice to see it's finally here.
It'll give me a reason to go back to Blast Factor as it was a quality game, and with this update it might entice some new buyers to it.
A few weeks ago one of the earliest PSN games received a trophy patch. Blast Factor is a very fast-paced shooter, similar in ways to Super StarDust HD, but extremely different in certain areas. The title was a must buy before, but with the Trophies it becomes a can't miss.
I love the use of the Sixaxis in this game, its really original.
EDIT: I don't have the patch or trophies enabled, is this US only?
when is this patch available in the uk, and will it be just a matter of starting up the game as normal.
I would not call this a must buy. Two years ago, sure it was a must buy, but now with the likes of SSDHD and SFHD, not so much.
Chalk this up in the 'who would have ever thought' category, but the developers of Blast Factor have decided to add in trophies for their TWO YEAR OLD GAME. While Blast Factor was a fun title to play at the time, much of that had to do with the whole complete lack of PSN and PS3 games during that time frame. Its unique shooter gameplay still gives it some legs, but compared to games like Everyday Shooter and Super Stardust HD it seems a little... first-gen.
Actually ctorretta this game is pretty good and pretty challenging, trophies almost make it a must have psn title.
It was one of the first PSN games I bought too. I like it even more than Super Stardust, as I'm not too good at that game.
Guess I have to fire it up again and see if I can get me some Trophies...
I really enjoyed this game before Stardust HD. I haven't played it since Stardust was released. :(
