No different than the FragFX from Splitfish. Despite on the fly sensitivity, you get slammed in close quarters where rapid turning is a must.
My Puppy ate the analog hats off my real PS3 control. So I have been using a Mad Catz controller for almost a year or so. Yesterday the wife and I went to watch a blu-ray, did the update, then surprise. I understand what the deal is, but try explaining that to a pissed off wife. LOL. Well, I guess today I get to go by the local game store and buy a new Sony controller. I really liked the feel of the Mad Catz though. It's a shame. It's usb so maybe I can re-use it on my computer like my 360 controller. One for the Main computer, and one for the laptop. Hey silver lining right?
You are either lying or you need to update your controller through the mad catz website.
Mad Catz is a licensed peripheral company, though. Look online to see if it needs an update.

I know a few people that have this (myself included) and it works like a dream for MAG. There's a bit of setup to find the sensitivity sweet spot that you want, but nothing major.
Thats the point of licensed hardware, once they pay the fee than can produce hardware under license. Don't pay and your not licensed to produce hardware. Hence all the crappy quality couterfeit PS3 pads.
BTW people can't sue as ther is no case against Sony.

Despite Microsoft’s insistence that the Xbox 360 did not require a mouse controller, and that none should be made available, this week’s Tokyo Game Show (TGS) heralded some unexpected news. Not only has a mouse controller been developed for the console, but it’s also shipping to retail globally as you read this.
Personally, I can't wait to use this for RTS games. Maybe it might work with some arcade games that have been ported from the PC.

omg, is this real? it's gonna put a HUGE disparity in fps games between mouse users and controller users (mouse users always win)
While you're correct about mouse/kb vs controller, problem is that console games aren't designed to use a keyboard and mouse, so you can't just switch to them on a console and expect it to perform like on a PC. The code to interpret analog sticks is very different from mouse input, so you'll end up with very awkward feeling mouse movements. That's why splitfish and other designs never worked out well.
meh, with things like the xfps, you can easily use a computer to interpret mouse movement w/out any deadzone.

with no rpgs, no fighting games, no rts, no adventure. Only mediocre shooters like reach and cod. This mouse will have no use without good games. 360 is for kids. Ps3 for grownups. Wii for everyone

Any way recent information released and actually in my avatar shows that PS3 has the lowest user base in the 18+ area. Both 360 and Wii dominate PS3 when it comes to the amount of adults that own one and play it as well.

I didn't disagree with you, baodeus, 360 has other games than mediocre shooters. But to think PS3 can't put up a list of games as variated or better than this 360 one is delusional.

Well they make controllers for PCs and Macs...what's the difference? They've crossed over in both departments on some things.
The ability to actually stand up to pc gamers in fps games is what excites me. I'm looking forward to this lol

Microsoft makes some pretty nice mouses. Love my Comfort Optical Mouse 3000. Feels great. Don't see why they haven't looked into one for the 360.

Really? This Comfort Optical Mouse 3000 must be an exception then. Most of the MS mice I used weren't that good quality, I had more luck with Logitech.
This is awesome. Now all we need is a keyboard and we're set. This mouse will be great for stuff like RUSE.
I think this should be the control scheme for the next xbox. I like this combo but, not the performance.
