Too bad these games won't come out in North America. Tales of Graces for Wii isn't even here yet and probably won't come ever.

Millionaire5027d ago

Kinda sad but true. Namco don't want money apparently.

Game-ur5027d ago

These are actually 2 screens from 2 deferent Tales games, the upper one is from the TOG port, and the lower awesome looking one is from the rumored Tales of Unitia.

Spenok5025d ago

Really? Are you sure the bottom one is ToU?

GeoramA5027d ago

It really pisses me off that they didn't bring Vesperia for PS3 over, considering it was already freaking translated.

Namco was great during the PS1/PS2 era, now they're a joke.

RandomGamer5027d ago

Namco turned to crap once they became Namco Bandai it's all the same now just dragon ball z games over and over again.

Millionaire5027d ago

@RandomGamer

Dejavu with Square and Enix? Lol

TheBatman_Fanatic5027d ago

Wait, the whole game is translated into english!?

Redempteur5027d ago

namco did the same thing with symphonia PS2 ... so IMO they didn't change their ways ...

I don't notice an improvement in graphics from wii at all.

anyway the game will never get released outside of Japan :/

-Mezzo-5027d ago

Agreed, this won't come out of Japan.

RandomGamer5027d ago

@Millionaire It's true even more so with Square and Enix they were both awesome in the 90s since merging they have become mediocre at best.

Zelda-Forever95027d ago

if this scan is misleading and it will actually come out in NA for the wii..

Game-ur5027d ago (Edited 5027d ago )

I wouldn't mind one bit since I have a Wii & a PS3, it may be good news as well, releasing the 2 games on the PS3 means a longer delay between them, but may release in NA only a few months apart On 2 different platforms.

Remember in NA Tales of Vesperia was released in august 2008 and Tales of Symphonia 2 was released in November 2008.

Another interesting thing is that TOV was an august 2008 release in the USA and Japan, perhaps Namco were pressed by Microsoft, if so I hope Sony do some pressing as well.

Zelda-Forever95027d ago (Edited 5027d ago )

but it will make more sense having a US release for Tales of graces on the wii then on the ps3 i just think namco is making dumb moves and on top of that i only have a wii xbox 360 and a dsixl and i would rather see this come out for the wii and let the ps3 owners get the other one that way all 3 platforms will have a tales game but release 2 tales games on the ps3 to me is just retarded and i am not going to buy a ps3 i have my platforms of choice and on top of that the wii has way better install base then the ps3 by a long shot..

Game-ur5027d ago

I don’t disagree with you, my point is that I was lucky to play TOV (also have a 360) and TOS2 in the space of 3 months because they were released on deferent platforms, and I can look forward to another Tales marathon if TOG and TOU are released on different platforms.

xino5027d ago

why should we care if it comes out on ps3? is it gonna come to US/UK? that's all we care about.

If it doesn't come then they can enjoy their trash recession and poor sales.

Zelda-Forever95027d ago (Edited 5027d ago )

comes to US for the wii you bet im buying it day 1 but if both of these games are on ps3 i will not care and just be happy with what i have now i am not paying $300 just for 2 tales games when theres also other great games coming out like rune factory3

Tales of Graces Anniversary Party set for November 24

Bandai Namco will host a “Tales of Graces Anniversary Party” event at the Maihama Amphitheater on November 24 in celebration of the game’s 10th anniversary, the company announced.

This was actually my first Tales game. Took me forever to complete it, as I stopped mid-way through for a long time. I eventually came back, and beat it. It really lingered in my thoughts afterwards, to the point where I just knew I had to play the other games in the series. I've been a huge fan of the series ever since. I'm really pumped for Arise, seems to be just what the Tales games needed as a refresher.

TheGamez1001781d ago

I recommend playing vesperia definitive if you havent already. The last amazing tales game. Post-vesperia were just very mediocre. Really hope arise is a great game and a return to how great tales used to be, they did mention it would have "classic" gameplay and I hope they mean pre-graces. Also that baba is no longer there and now has the god eater guy there which is a series that has great story telling and gameplay so Im excited to see how this game will turn out and have higher hopes.

Snookies121781d ago (Edited 1781d ago )

I actually really liked Xillia. The sequel and Berseria didn't do much for me though. Just felt like treading the same waters again. Which is why the new Arise engine (Unreal 4) should do wonders to help breathe new life into the series as a whole.

I haven't played Vesperia yet, I always wanted to do so after playing the demo on my Xbox 360 years ago. I just never got around to it. I've seen the Remastered version on sale, but I just don't have the time to devote to it right now. I'll definitely get around to it though. (Still trying to work my way through Persona 5 at the moment, lol.)

I think the only one I really didn't enjoy was Zesteria. My fav overall was Graces f. I loved the story. I like the personal story in it alot. Made me forget I was playing a game at times and the whole thing where you start as kids and then it goes into the future with a time skip. I was in complete shock because I thought I'd be using kids the whole game thinking because it was a Wii game initially, it went with the Symphonia style lol

I absolutely LOVE the battle system. the whole reward system in it made it soooooooo good compared to alot during those times. I think the only system I kinda enjoy more. but only in some aspects is Hearts R. The moment the ability triggers and you start going crazy and if you can time the parries perfectly. OMG it's amazing. But overall Graces has had my favourite battle system otherwise.

PhoenixUp1780d ago

I really enjoyed the cast of this game. It caught me by surprise how good it was. I played it first because I was on a Tales of binge(I still am) and got hooked but that final boss was a long hard battle

Juusterey1780d ago

Easily my favourite on
loved the characters in this
and just the world in general
i assume it's getting a ps4 release

Relientk773982d ago

Such a fantastic JRPG series

can't wait for Tales of Xillia in August, for North America

Yi-Long3982d ago (Edited 3982d ago )

... but not when they isnsit on only selling us a dub-only version, instead of including the original language with english subs as an option.

Tried a Wii Tales game once. Couldn't bare the voice-acting, and that I couldn't click through the cut-scenes to avoid those voices.

They seem like nice old-skool RPGs, and considering the anime-influence, it just baffles me why they would intentionally alienate a huge portion of the anime-fanbase by not including the original voices, which is a must for many anime fans.

Nate-Dog3982d ago

Baba said they plan to do it in the future, or at least they're looking into doing so. But I don't see how you see it as alienating a huge portion of the fanbase. I don't buy Metal Gear Solid 3 EU edition and complain that there's no Japanese voice-acting on the disc do I? It's not like every major title from Japan is supposed to have Japanese voice-acting on it.

Inception3982d ago

Mate, how many times you must repeat yourself for not buying / playing games if they don't include the japanese VA / dual-dub on the game? You like a broken record you know -_-

Gregard3982d ago (Edited 3982d ago )

I'm with you man! I would love if they include jpn voices as well. But to be fair, the Wii tales game, symphonia 2, was for me one of the worst tales games. It seem to me like it was just a cash in on symphonia's popularity... And I loved symphonia!

Anyway, I would suggest that you play Vesperia on the 360, if you haven't done so yet. For me it's the best tales game yet. And even though there are no jpn voices, the English voice casting for that game is superb! (Troy Baker FTW!!!) You should give that a go, it will leave you with a much better impression I'm sure!

Chaos_Raiden3982d ago

Interesting character picks by Tales fans.

Inception3982d ago

Yeah, i expected Tales of Xillia, Graces, Abyss, Vesperia, and Destiny 2 dominated the polls. Weirdly, there's no Leon Magnus from Destiny as fav (male) characters. Two years ago Leon dominated the polls for the most fav characters in Tales series.

DEATHxTHExKIDx3982d ago

surprised I dont see Tale of Symphonia on here. Most of them seem to like the recent Tales games tho so i guess there only playing what they can get their hands on.

Inception3982d ago

You should check the article again. There's a fans in the article who like Emil from Symphonia: Dawn of the New World. And her fav Tales also Dawn of the New World. Besides, this polls only a sample of fans who visited Tales festival.

DEATHxTHExKIDx3982d ago

Well I meant the original Tales of Symphonia.

Canary3982d ago

I'm kind of amazed at the popularity of Vesperia. Yes, the characters were fantastic... but the setting was pretty shallow for a Tales Of game, and the overall narrative was pretty dull IMHO.

Xof3981d ago

Why does no one like Stahn?

He's clearly the best. Ever. Of all time.
