Gameloft has confirmed Earthworm Jim HD will be heading to PS3 on 28 July.

I've actually never played an Earthworm Jim game. Are they enjoyable? Is it worth the $10 that this will cost to play on PSN?

Edit: Like the soundtrack. Is that in the game or just music for the promo? Also, good use of a hamster.

You get alot of bang for your buck in this game. Awesome classic platformer, and very fun online/offline 4 player mulitplayer, kinda like New Super mario Wii.

I got it for live day one, and if you only have a PS3, it is absolutly worth is for 10$.

i find that they USE TO be enjoyable. even as a big fan i am not going to get this because every retro game i spent money on (ps1, NES w/35games, N64 games etc.) it seems that i never play them. so ima stop buying retro. the only games i do still play are goldeneye and roadrash3D (and ps2 games. but this is only m and my opinione, dont let me discourage you in any way. an "HD" remake does sound awesome tho.

edit: but hey, montrealien seems to be onto something, i didnt know it was online and multiplayer etc. this may be good then.

28th or 27th? So, as usual, we don't get it in the states until many more moons from now, right? I've waited for this since the Xbox 360 got it 3 months ago. I guess our American update will be loaded to the gills with quality content like -- PS1 classics from 30 years ago covering lousy Disney tie ins. Like, Hercules, A Bugs Life and much, much more. I'm sure we'll get 2 or 3 Minis too. And I just know they'll all be stellar and worth every penny!! (looks around). I wonder what blockbuster PSN game Sony will manage to lobe out of their @$$ today for us? These updates get funnier and funnier to watch anymore.

Typically it's the other way around, though. Most of the time Europe gets games later than the U.S. When it's delayed in the U.S., I just bite my tongue and remember that we're actually the lucky ones the mass majority of the time.

Would've loved for them to have EWJ 1 and 2 in a combo pack (just so I can hear a remix of the Anything But Tangerines track), but this is really good.

EDIT@budbundystyles: The game WAS hard, but very fun. Both games were pretty hard (EWJ 2 was easier, but they kind of overloaded it with puzzle-style, "weird" levels and not enough of the hardcore platforming levels, though the music for the second one rocked). But it's not impossible to beat.
