Last year's Madden on iPhone and iPod Touch was a promising step in the right direction for the series' first venture to Apple's handhelds. Sure, the visuals were a bit lacking and the library of animations was limited, but players still found a functional game of football thanks to features like the slow down button that allowed you to get your bearings and make a play on the ball.
