Absolutely love Blur..one of my fave games this year..

I'm normally an Xbox Live type of gamer..but I dusted off the split-screen for Blur and Forza 3 this weekend and had an absolute blast..

Blur is the type of game you can play for years..I'd love to see them continue the series. It didn't get the massive sales that it deserved and some gamers are still crying over the Mario Kart commercial...but games like this bring back what is missing frm gaming..FUN

ditto amd YAY!!!

faster cars, more powerups and better tracks (with more physics and less shit all over them)

jaosobno5455d ago

Wasn't this game one big flop?

saint_john_paul_ii5455d ago

more to it: the PS3 version looked like crap compared to the 360 version. not supporting it.

DelbertGrady5455d ago

In terms of sales, yes.

In terms of quality, no.

Spenok5454d ago

Well Bizarre does racers, and Activision wants another racer. So i guess we get it in the form of Blur 2.

HarryM5455d ago

Activsion has said that they only invest in games that they believe can create year-by-year releases.. -_-

They also said that they'll only invest in games that can generate the company millions of dollars.

But didn't Blur sell terribly? :/

Yi-Long5455d ago

... I'm not buying any of their games.

ChronoJoe5455d ago

Hey.

Activision have no problem with Raven software producing Wolfenstein type clones YoY that no one buys. So I think they'd support this.

Blur was okay. Bad handling. Lets be honest it didn't sell well, but the game itself wasn't above average either.

Gmes cr*p not cos ps3 looked rubbish compared to 360 as i think thats trash talk. i have played this on a ati 4870 1gb card on pc high settings still cr*p so dont give me that. if you want to enjoy a game thats fictinal and want to have feeling of power.then play split second.better gameplay. awsome online.

Rival Schools!

LordoftheCritics488d ago

Spec Ops: The Line was super dark.

Incredible story.

SheenuTheLegend488d ago

all the games in the above list are bang on. this is the only reason we need backwards compatibility and physical presense of games for the upcoming future, no matter what.

Yi-Long489d ago

Honorable mention to the excellent Driveclub, one of the best racing games of all-time and one of my favourite games ever.

melons489d ago

yes! incredible rain effects; so good to drive along in rain with your Spotify playlist blaring

Skuletor488d ago

I really wanted a MotorStorm using the same engine, Driveclub is easily one of the best looking games on PS4 and I'm surprised they didn't even give it a PS4 Pro patch.

ravens52488d ago

Yes indeed. May just install it on my PS5. You know, physical copy and all.

monkey602488d ago

I adored Driveclub and the Bike expansion. I also loved Motorstorm. Evolution shutting down was a crime

Outrun Online Arcade, Sega Rally Online Arcade, After Burner Climax... all good stuff. I keep my 360 hooked up to play these as well as the TMNT games that were also delisted.

Skuletor488d ago

I have quite a few of these. Timed licenses suck.

Terry_B488d ago (Edited 488d ago )

wow...I have all of them except the Nintendo ones either in physical or digital version.

Also..Deadpool the Game is missing on that list.

EVERY Blur Game Ever

Whilst it’s rather disappointing that there are no new Blur games on the way, we can still look back at the series and reminisce.

there was more than one? man i must have really checked out after the first one.... or my lack of interest is showing. that game was..... not great.

Skuletor1871d ago

"there was more than one?" This is exactly what I just thought too. I just remember the one on PS360 and PC. The game was fun but I didn't play it much tbh

IRetrouk1871d ago

Wanted to love this game so much, but just couldn't, it was the cars handling more than anything else, why they couldn't have kept or remade the pgr handling model is anyone's guess.

JonTheGod1871d ago

2 mobile variants and a cancelled sequel do not a franchise make.

Gunstar751871d ago

Blur was a great game. Such a shame Bizaree Creations went bust.

Azraeia1871d ago

Tbf didn't know there was more than one. But looking at the other games in this list no wonder the series died after the first major title. Racing is an awkward series to compete in imo. You can't really go down the simulation route cause games like Forza have got that covered and if you want arcade smash up style racing then just play the old NFS or Burnout.

Former Evolution, Bizarre Creations staff teaming up for multiple projects

From Eurogamer: "Staff from two big-name former UK studio are teaming up for a new set of projects.

Wushu Studios, which is largely made up of ex-Evolution staff members (think MotorStorm and Driveclub) is joining forces with Lucid Games, which is largely filled by former Bizarre Creations talent (think Project Gotham Racing)."

I just want Sony to hire Evolution staff back and make Driveclub 2. I believe after all the delays and problems Driveclub had in the beginning damaged the relations between Sony and Evolution, but in the end, Evolution did all they promised and much more, and Sony was to proud to "forgive" them and keep them as "internal studio".
