1UP: Monkey Island 2: Special Edition Review

Monkey Island 2: Special Edition is not the "Criterion Collection" special edition that this series deserves, and that the commentary track and concept art indicate that this was meant to be. If you are a fan of the original, this will not replace your old copy of the game, but it will serve as an excellent companion piece.

The updated HD version of the game is as good you could expect it to be, with faults that are superficial at best. It is not in the new interpretation that this package fails to deliver, but in its presentation of a classic that demands a lot more respect and attention to detail than Special Edition delivers.
