I just grabbed Tekken 6 for 15 bucks :D!!!

kevco333029d ago

Yeah, a lot of places have been doing it cheaper lately, but the official price-drop will only bring those prices down lower! As soon as I see it for £14.99, it's mine!

thats not american prices

tekken 6 went platinum? It was so disappointing for me as a die-hard Tekken fan. Dark Ressurrection the all time best.

What makes tekken 6 disappointing? I havent played a tekken game since tag but lately i've been on the fence about picking one up.

Karlnag33029d ago

Crap, repetitive story mode with horrible visuals and a limited number of moves.

Awful giant bosses that can only be killed by spamming attacks (or at least that's the only way I could do it unless I wanted to die in 2 hits)

Online play is laggy as hell and often doesn't find a match.

That's the negative, the plus is the new characters are pretty cool.

Ask yourself this, are you a tekken fan? If yes either straight up don't buy it or look into reviews and watch gameplay to come to your own decision.

It's a great game when you master it ;)

Takes skill to learn and make your own combos. (if your not lazy)
Unlike Street Fighter LOL

This is a great example to why I now dislike Tekken.

Street Fighter / Marvel vs Capcom :)

Don't get me wrong your really good at this game, but its based on who knows the combos and who can juggle someone continuously to me.

Once your in the air, its all over...mite aswell put the pad down.

PeterGriffinSays3029d ago (Edited 3029d ago )

But one thing I always hated about the Tekken series was the feedback of when you hit somebody. The hits just sound so soft and undamaging sometimes, whereas in Street Fighter (and other fighters), landing hits are much more reassuring.

But anyways, it's an "iight" game. Tekken 3 is still the best in the Tekken series IMO.

TheBlackSmoke3029d ago

Street fighter is more like rock paper scissors, its about knowing what beats what and punishing mistakes with ultras.

Tekken is more about memorization of juggles and hit strings, finding an opening to launch the opponent then unleash the largest combo you can.

Street fighter is way more reliant on good execution and is based on linking normal hits and specials moves to create combos, whilst Tekken sort of works on a dial a combo system of just typing in different button combination's to make many pre determined combos come out.

I don´t like Tekken .... :/

gtamike3029d ago (Edited 3029d ago )

It's the best fighting game out.
Also the graphics are very nice for a fighting game.

jjohan353029d ago

what are u talking about? the console and pc version came out 2 years after the arcade version and by then the graphics were way outdated.

DontShoot-Me-Bro3029d ago

To the disagrees

In the UK

Uncharted 2 is £15

Tekken 6 is £20

Get more value for your money.

kevco333029d ago

Yeah... Uncharted 2 for £15? I don't think so. Most places are still doing it for £30+. I think the £15 you saw it for must be part of a deal or a limited time sale.

DontShoot-Me-Bro3029d ago

Kevco nope, its in the platinum range now.

Also on amazon, but its sold out i believe.

kevco333029d ago

Yeah man, sorry about that! My mate corrected me just after I shot you down... memory's going a bit wonky, old age an' all!

NarooN3029d ago

Game has been like $20-$26 here in the states for as long as I can remember.

This is better played in the Arcade.
