Blizzard's World of Warcraft took the MMORPG game world by storm when it was released in 2004 and reached close to 12 million subscribers by 2009. So would it be possible that another MMORPG could topple World of Warcraft? It is according to Wedbush analyst Michael Pachter. But only if it comes from Blizzard.
Blizzard writes: "After careful consideration over the last year, we at Blizzard have made the decision not to hold BlizzCon in 2024. This decision was not made lightly as BlizzCon remains a very special event for all of us, and we know many of you look forward to it. While we’re approaching this year differently and as we have explored different event formats in the past, rest assured that we are just as excited as ever to bring BlizzCon back in future years."

I still think Old Republic, Tera Online, and FFXIV will be better mmos, they may never reach the popularity level wow has but I think the wow crowd will split between these 3 games in the next few years.
