Samurai Shodown’s first appearance of the generation is an entertaining but flawed experience. SNK Playmore has created Samurai Shodown Sen in a 3D style similar to Tekken or Soul Calibur, belying its roots as a 2D fighter in the style of Street Fighter II. Unfortunately, while it shows some promise, it’s just not as good as the other 3D fighters on current consoles.
