Nice list. Naughty Dog is best imo.

They are my favorite too. Their dedication to excellence and to always get better is great for us gamers. Another dev I didn't see on there that should be there is Criterion Games. Their dedication to the Burnout Paradise community was second to none. I doubt we'll ever see that kind of generosity from a developer again.

Whiz_kid5482d ago

im surprised bungie isn't up there halo single handily change first person shooter.

Cevapi885482d ago

i would give that award to Half-Life....MP on the other hand is something that Halo does best

Montrealien5482d ago

I think he was referring to console fps. Some people seem to forget that console fps never really got mainstream until Halo.

DarkTower8055482d ago

And I would give that to Goldeneye

ClownBelt5482d ago

I was gonna say that. Good one though

Montrealien5482d ago (Edited 5482d ago )

I know what Goldeneye is to the fps genre on the consoles, it is the grand daddy, I just think Halo had a bigger impact then Goldeneye when it comes to mainstream success. This is my opinion.

that rockstar is more than one development studio? rockstar north did not make all those games.

Montrealien5482d ago (Edited 5482d ago )

yes, people realize that. While you are at it, you might as well clarify Sega, Nintendo, Square, Valve, Konami, Atlus.

Technically Team Ico, Blizzard, Naughty dog, and Santa Monica Studios are the only actual single studios, as in, in the same building studios, the rest pretty much publishers, although they so have some in house products.

@ below, yes they are, but games like Counterstrike, and portal for example where started as mods, which they picked the people up and made the game with them, I guess that is why I didnt put them in that category, also since steam is pretty much a new publishing house in a way for many games that don't have publishers.

Pandamobile5482d ago (Edited 5482d ago )

Valve a unified developer.

@Budget

Yeah, but they're more of a distributer, like GameStop. Everything with the Valve name comes out of the same building (with the exception of Coutner Strike: Condition Zero, and the original Coutner Strike Xbox port which were made by Turtle Rock.

thebudgetgamer5482d ago (Edited 5482d ago )

are they technically a publisher because of steam?

do you guys think valve could be like ea for pc if they wanted

huzzaahh5482d ago (Edited 5482d ago )

This article was really badly put together. It's amateurishly written and it doesn't even have a bunch of major developers up there. Oh well.

Dragon Is Dead Review | NoobFeed

Adiba from NoobFeed writes- The ruthless, difficult roguelite Dragon Is Dead unashamedly displays its influences. For players who like to master difficult mechanics, the game offers comprehensive character customization, tight, gratifying combat, and a rewarding gaming loop. Although it struggles with level diversity, narrative depth, and sometimes annoying difficulty spikes, it's a promising and heartfelt game.

Borderlands 4 offers billions of guns, a non-linear story, and a deadly new world to explore

Borderlands 4 marks the franchise’s boldest evolution yet, introducing a non-linear campaign structure, a new world called Kairos, and an antagonist who controls time itself. Built on Unreal Engine 5, the game enhances weapon customization, expands endgame content, and brings back familiar characters in surprising ways. Sector spoke with producer Chris Brock and lead writer Taylor Clark about the engine switch, narrative shifts, and how they aim to balance chaos with control.
