Final Fantasy games have primarily been a single player experience, focussing on story above all else and giving players a very specific experience. The Four Heroes of Light is slightly different. The story element is still there, but the experience can now be shared. Up to four Nintendo DS consoles can be linked up in unison in order to play the game meaning co-operation is key, at least in a multiplayer aspect.

Why do we think this is coming out on Switch 2 before Xbox? Any thoughts? The S2 is not more powerful than the Series S so it’s not a ‘lack of power’ issue. Perhaps the sales forecast is higher on S2 than Xbox so that’s maybe where their priority lies?
It’s definitely a sales issue. If Xbox didn’t have players used to GamePass I bet it would be there already.
The fact people will buy it. Xbox gamers generally have minimal interest in this series. Portable Final Fantasy will go down a storm in Japan where the switch sells huge numbers
The Switch 2 version is really beautiful. It looked as good as the PS5 version.
Seems pretty solid, although it reminds me a bit of Crystal Chronicles.
