I know this game will be fun...but the graphics just don't seem to have gotten any better from the first nearly at all. I loved the original Crackdown, it was a sleeper-hit, and I'm sure this one will pour out loads of content and fun for us. I just wish that the developers gave an extra layer of polish or had taken more time to create a new graphics engine for the game. These graphics don't justify the game at all.
that's true...the graphics are a bit of a disappointment....just like Twisted metal on the ps3...why do these devs think last gen graphics are exceptable? anyway...it still looks like it will be a lot of fun to play which is the main reason we play games...but its always nice to have great graphics too.
Terrible comparison. I love how you claimed to love Twisted Metal in the past, yet you clown on TM PS3 graphics. TM 1 and 2 were complete eye sores, and Black certainly didn`t push any boundaries. Lol, you loved the old Twisted Metals? My ass. With a comment like that, I doubt you`ve even played them.
Quit acting butthurt. I've loved Twisted Metal. Especially Twisted Metal 4. My favorite characters were Quatro, Mr. Zombie and Calypso. My favorite map was Minion's Maze/Construction Yard where the magnet crane would pick someone up and shove someone into the flamethrower, and it was awesome to listen to Rob Zombie while playing the game.
THE BIGGEST FLAW OF YOUR "WHITTY" COMMENT HOWEVER... is the fact that you somehow come to the conclusion that it's acceptable to have ass graphics in 2011. The man behind this game worked with God of War 3; one of the nicest looking console games to date. There are no excuses. The Twisted Metal franchise was never an "eyesore". The game looked fantastic for the time considering it was a Playstation 1 game.
Any other baseless assumptions you'd like to make? No? Then go fail somewhere else.
Umm...well Crackdown 2 still looks better than Twisted Metal so I don't know what your point is.
Face it, Twisted Metal looks like crap. Crackdown 2 doesn't look that great, but it sure as hell looks better than Twisted Metal.
And as for the guy that said Twisted Metal has always had crappy graphics, you are completely wrong. Twisted Metal Black was probably one of the better looking PS2 games at the time it came out. The PS1 iterations weren't too shabby either.
heroprotagonist, the point is that Crackdown 2 already has an oponent with much better graphics. And it's Just Cause. Twisted Metal, on the other hand, doesn't have a competitor, whether you like its graphics or not.
I always thought Crackdown was a cell shaded game. WHy all the hate when Crack Down was never about realistic graphics? For cell shade I think it looks great compared to the first.
You guys do not know how to comprehend a sentence. Someone takes a simple sentence as "It takes place in the same city." and turned it into "Is it true that the game world is exactly the same as the first game?
I think that you might have misinterpreted quite what he was meaning. As Far as I'm aware he's trying to prove that although The game world is the same vecinity, it doesn't necessarily mean that it's not going to have graphically changed in areas... Unless he's just trying to state something which I've complletely misread into.
I know what I'm gonna be doing when I get this game. I'm gonna start up a new agent and just sit there and look at the graphics. I might play the game a little bit to get to a new area to look at, but that's about it.
I tried the demo and... I am absolutely not convinced. I started the first game another time and it just looks as the good as the second, while there was 4 years between those games... For sure there is LOT OF people in the streets, severals hundreds of zombies sometimes and it is very impressive to drive trough those crowd... but that's all... zombies are really ugly, people are a little more detailed than in the first game, buildings are horrible.... I know it is a demo, but unless it is a very old build, and the game is supposed to be release in July if i am right), i must say that what i saw was slightly disappointing.
Wow, hire new textures artists or something please? What's up with the graphics? Gaaaah, it burns. >_< But I guess graphics<Gameplay, right?...... -_- That is until an ugly looking PS3 exclusive comes out.
Having owned the first game and this being one of few microsft exclusives this year.i too was bit supprised at the lack of thought for this follow on.same engine same style same game.they heard of updating games!!
Just wait for the demo on the 21st and base your decision on that. This video may be a leaked development version. And if you ask me, I will take fun gameplay over graphics any day!!!
I know this game will be fun...but the graphics just don't seem to have gotten any better from the first nearly at all. This makes me sad my 360 is dead. Loved the first one.
this better come with another halo beta because this looks terrible.
Is it true that the game world is exactly the same as the first game?
That would be pretty ridiculous.
