Epic Games design director Cliff Bleszinski is often seen pictured with a chainsaw, doing all kinds of badassery, but it's the magic of Nintendo which has won his vote at this year's E3.

He added: "I think Nintendo's back. Nintendo strayed. Nintendo had an affair with everybody's mum, and now they've come back to the marriage of the Mario and the Kirby and the GoldenEye fans."

Microsoft is the most successful software company in the world, I reeeeeeeeally don't see how they are dead and buried, I don't think they will be leaving the console market any time soon, so you fanboys will just have to get over it, the more the merrier, I hope Sega does bring out another console, someone needs to keep these F-ers honest.

Only because they monopolized the PC industry. It's definitely not because of it's quality. I have pulled my hair out for years taking care of all of my relatives and friends computers running on MS products. Most of my friends and some of my relatives have switched to more expensive Macs to not have to deal with those issues any more.

Don't forget MS has share holders to report too. Their gaming division has not recouped their investment in the gaming industry. I believe that, along with the global economy, is why they are not coming out with a new console any time soon.

As far as our economy goes? Right now nobody is safe. Don't forget Google is bringing out their first time and brand new OS soon. MS will now have a competitor in the industry that is for real and has deep pockets to back their venture. If MS starts to lose money where they obtain most of their revenue? You can bet your ass cuts will be made. Where do you think those cuts will come from? The area that makes the least revenue for them.

Personally I don't want MS to go any where and I would welcome another company to release a new console as well. I am a gamer and hope to be until the day I am put into the ground. More consoles = more games = industry has the potential to keep growing.

I just hope the market doesn't become over saturated to the point people get burned out on gaming. Right now I am starting to become completely burned out on shooters and have since went back to single player games mainstream.

You say Microsoft is only the most successful software company because it monopolized the pc market...now ask yourself this, how were they able to get into a position to monopolize the market...somewhere alone the line, quality had to play a part. In addition, I could say I have helped people out with Microsoft products...but at the same time, the realization is it is often people who know little to nothing about computers. Most people with a basic working knowledge are fine....Mac has its share or problems,just that the user base had been so small, that you rarely heard about it.

Continuing along, yes Microsoft has share holders....but I would like to believe that a company such as Microsoft would have the research and understanding of the investment it was going to take within the gaming department; besides, the xbox brand is a key component of Microsoft's Live connectivity plan. Just out of curiosity, in your mind what makes Google different from Apple?....since you are not identifying Apple as a serious competitor to Microsoft.

I on the other hand do not want to see another console introduced into the arena...I would prefer to have joint efforts rather than splitting the market further. If gamers already talking about porting between the ps3 to 360 and vice versa..imagine adding another console into the mix; prices would definitely increase...unless the platforms are similiar...but then that would just raise the question of why have similar platforms.

you got it wrong, the xbox 360 is proven to be THE console for shooters, but ps3 is the way for diversity. thing is cliffy b doesn't really stray from the shooter genre, which is his specialty in the first place. if you said alan wake developers should make games for ps3, then it makes sense, as their games are more than just shooters.
