SEGA Comes to Sydney

Over the last few years, SEGA has been aggressively expanding its roster of developers and publishers in the West, seeking to broaden its portfolio beyond the Japanese franchises for which it has traditionally been known. Some of the names now under the SEGA banner include The Creative Assembly, Sports Interactive and Secret Level, while the company has also partnered with some of the top development names in the industry; Bioware is creating a Sonic role playing game, Monolith is working on Condemned 2, Gas Powered Games is creating an original RPG for PC, Shiny is creating The Golden Compass game, and much more. SEGA is positioning itself as a publisher with truly global content, and as such, it's no great surprise that it's opening an office in Australia, taking over local duties from THQ.
