E3 2010: PlayStation Move "Zapper" Is Sort Of Shameless, But Super Awesome

That thing is not needed. The move already has a trigger. But, if some one has an extra bit of cash to dispose of and just can't be with out it, I see no harm in having the choice. Right?

People will eat this up. It actually looks pretty cool since it has functioning buttons. A trigger that actually works. This motion control war is heating up. I definitely see MS releasing a controller/peripherals for the Kinect sooner than later.

well, it apparently connects to that expansion port on the move. that was a smart move by sony. since the move vibrates as well, the thing will be better than the guncon for Time Crisis and of course for shooters.

Sony should hold a contest in which contestants design their own custom gun for the PS-M, whoever designs the best one wins and their gun actually goes in to production.

Or we could just stick with this one since it looks good anyway.

I think it looks pretty sweet. Though one thing will feel weird. . holding a handgun-style weapon while in the game they have m-16's, rocket launchers etc. I dunno it'll probably be ok but It will take getting used to. Im looking forward to it. Especially time crisis, the ultimate shoot-em-up arcade game in my opinion.

I was thinking the same thing while I was watching MS's kinect launch lineup. I guess all parties are guilty in one way or another.

On topic- Day 1 zapper purchase, my gf wants one of these to make pointing at the screen feel a little more natural.

EDIT : Maybe they could incorporate the move into PORTAL 2 so when you use the zapper its like you are using the portal gun, at least more so than using the controller. That kind of incorporation into hardcore games will differentiate the Move from the wii imo.

No I just wanted to ask. Sorry but imo as much as I like the Wii and dont support MS it does do some things the Wii cant.

Also your idea wont make Move better than the Wii. Every FPS on WIi uses that control scheme already. Have you never even played a Wii FPS?

@the rest of you. Wii sports Resort already offers 1:1. You kids are pretending the presentation for Zelda is the first game ever made to use it. Its not at all. Also all reports from the floor say it works great.

I meant the implementation into hardcore games, portal and socom 4 as an example, coupled with the near perfect precision. To my knowledge there will NOT be a portal 2 wii. That in My Personal Opinion will differentiate the move from the wii, I never said make it "better", stop putting words into my posts that dont belong there.

After seeing Nintendo bring out Epic Mickey and all the other great Nintendo games with the Wii, I can see a great future with the PS Move. Nintendo did Hardcore and Sony is going Hardcore with the Move. 1 Day we might get a God Of War Spin off for the Move. I think Move being a Wii HD is a really great "Move".

Ok its UGLY, but I do believe you need something like this to play the fps games. It feels awkward to point Move like a wand when shooting. I would guess a steering wheel isn't far behind cause using Move to drive would also feel weird.
