B4HD writes: Sierra Entertainment, in their various guises, have a long history with creating detailed graphic adventure games that have had players enthralled, among the first to properly integrate the computer mouse into the control scheme. Is it not ironic, then, that the only one of their titles not to feature images was 1981’s (and I’m not making this up) “Softporn Adventure”? To be fair to them, though, you have to re-read the date to realize why this was not quite such the missed opportunity. Several years later they would indeed remake the game into the first of the Leisure Suit Larry series replete with pixelated boobs and simulated sex. So while no art form has ventured far from sexual expression, video gaming has the particular uniqueness of a relatively fast evolution and a far more uneasy relationship with the censor.
