Microsoft Pre-E3 2010 Conference Rundown

Microsoft’s Pre-E3 Press Conference began last night with a bang, revealing new gameplay footage from the forthcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops. Though coming to both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 (and, for that matter, PC), the trailer depicting an underground Vietcong complex and a commando assault on an airfield, including the theft of a Hind helicopter, was simply a precursor to Microsoft’s announcement that they had secured the rights to have all Call of Duty expansion and map packs debut on the Xbox 360 exclusively. The deal will last until 2012, and though the finer details of the arrangement have not yet been revealed, it’s undoubtedly a fantastic coup for the Xbox 360 and the Xbox LIVE service.
