Another big e3 rumor is coming our way, this time from the same man that confirmed Halo:Reach before it was announced at last year’s E3. Neogaf member ” Annoying Old Party Man” is known for being “right” with his inside information.

Mainstream America will look at a Slim 360 with Wi-fi built in and will praise Microsoft, completely disregarding the incredible value that Sony has been giving us for years. However, the reason M$ can get away with this is because they came out FIRST. In 2005-2006, people got used to getting ripped off and not having Wi-fi.

If the PS3 had come out first with Wi-fi built in, the 360 would've have been screwed.

If true, I suspect the price will be about $400! It looks as if the 360 has a price cut on it's way due to the fact that there are games bundled with it. A redesign will allow then to add the N wireless tech and bundle Natal with it. That would allow them to have that bundled and offset the price. For some reason though, I kept thinking that MS was going to throw a BR player in there with the slim redesign. I guess because they said they would probably release a blu-ray player for the 360, but haven't said much since then.

I suspect Sony will do some kind of bundle with the Move as well. The only thing about a Ps3 bundle I can't figure out is if they will replace the dual shock 3 with the Move, or include them both! Because technically, you can replace the DS 3 with the Move.

I guess we'll find out in a couple of days!

It's looking like the PS3 might get a price cut even though no one seems to be asking for it. I would expect MS to release a slim console with a build in HDD and Wi-Fi for 199 to match Sony. I expect both to launch bundles that include their respective motion controllers.

Unless MS adopts Blu-ray I don't see them being on the same level. The tech is just not comparable and MS needs to suck it up and bite the bullet and start shipping the box with Blu. I would hope that one day both boxes will be at the same level performance wise because then we could start focusing on what really matters....games.

Natal + WiFi + 250 HD = very expensive. Don't expect MS to debut a new technology and take a loss on it. They're in this business to make money and not give away hardware just so fanboys have something to brag about.

But if you want all this tech and more for a good price then just get a PS3.

i was one of the few that actually bought a PS3 on launch, a 60GB system....i do NOT use wifi because i do not like the chance of my connection going out. The Controller (Sixaxis) was a complete piece of crap, it was too light, too small and did not rumble. I turn the PS3 on..i start to play Motorstorm, i had been used to custom soundtracks since the Xbox and was mystified and confused when i called Sony and they told me that there was no custom music on their system (at the time) At this point i knew my 599$ was well wasted. Then i try to play online..and this is in the days before the XMB was usable in game, so i would have to leave the game just to check my inbox.. so i take it up the ass for 3 more years.. and then the great day came that my PS3 died (YLOD) and my 360 was born....ty

I've got a PS3, and I have the WiFi adapter for my 360. I only use WiFi for the rare occasions I have to move one of them to our bedroom if my wife is studying in the living room or wants to watch some Netflix or something (PC is hooked up to the living room TV).

WiFi is useless for MP gaming, or even Netflix HD movie streaming...2 things I do A LOT OF with my 360. I use the ethernet ports 95% of the time on BOTH consoles...MUCH better connection.

Let me run this by you and see what you think.

My 80gb PS3 is one of several hardware revisions that Sony has done since the launch of the PS3. The original $500 sku had a bunch of features, bells and whistles that the later models either don't have anymore or have been tappered (i.e., number of USB ports for example) Now why did Sony have so many revisions of the PS3 along the way?

Simply put, they were losing a lot of money on every console they sold and had to bring the price down. In order to do that, somethings had to change/be removed. The difference between launch PS3 to the slim is more than just a cosmetic overhaul to say the least.

Microsoft gave you the option of wi-fi and a hard drive for that reason. Say what you want, but it was smart from a business standpoint. Give players the option to buy over priced additional hardware, keep the initial buy in low, launch a year before your comp. This has proven to be a formula for success that has given them the lead globally and more importantly mindshare. Only inside the bubble of N4G are PS3 fans so adament that the world obviously agrees with them that the PS3 is far superior in every way shape and form.

Out in the real world, when people think games they first think Wii then 360 then the PS3. Last generation, that would've been unheard of. Hell, even when RROD was an issue; Sony still couldn't make head way.

Enter E3 2010. Prices for manufacturing are much lower now for both MS and Sony but this is more important for MS. Add wi-fi, throw in a 250gb HD, perhaps built in Natal with a new body design and rebrand your product. Not only that, but the whole world is going to see it, pay attention to it, and remember it, much more so than a 3D Killzone.

Mtv, Time Square, all the other news media outlets from around the world, Cirque de Solei...all of this is adding up to something huge, really, really huge and some of you are to blind (or ignorant) to even see what's coming. MS has kept quite for a reason. And in a few days, the whole world is going to know why.

This is where having the tech of the 360 already being a few years old. They can offer all of this for around $199 and still make the same or even more off each console.
The online cant be beat and the list of first party games is second to none. I mean if ever you were considering getting a 360, put the fanboy stuff behind you, this is the time. The 360 catalog is truly epic and I know tons of people who would get something like this. Especially if it's the Wireless N Wi Fi, because that's better then the Wi Fi in the PS3, which actually is very laggy.

This Re-Brand thing look's like it is going to work wonders, get those "Fence" people. The ones who were worried about Red Ring, yeah but the new slim doesn't get that, plus motion controlled Project Natal. Back logs of games. Price cuts, it's going to continue to be a solid MS year. So excited!

The 360 needs to focus on its rrod issue. Having gone through 6 I cant see buying another one. I had the jaspers board with internal memory and it blew up just like the other 5.
