Ve3tro: BlazBlue Calamity Trigger Review
Ve3tro writes: " Many Japanese games have crossed the oceans to our shores. Some going thorough translations and upgrades in the process, to help it get some success out of it’s homeland. Others, however, are not given this treatment and remain a challenge to break into for players that are not used to Japanese games.
BlazBlue Calamity Trigger is most definitely one of these, with a labyrynth like menu system that takes too long to work out, to confusing cutscenes, bad dialogue and a horrible difficulty curve; it really is not a game for the casual crowd. And I think I fit onto that crowd.
At its heart it is a very simple game. A classic 2D fighter with lots of Japanese charm. J-pop blasts out during the fights between the crazy haired characters, over the top moves that flash by, too fast for the eye to see, all lovingly rendered in bright manga colours with dynamic backdrops. It really is an attack on your senses."
