If the hints all around the internet weren't enough to clue you in on what's going on, RPGamer break it down for you. XSEED Games has partnered Nihon Falcom to publish a bunch of the company's PSP RPGs. Starting off the releases will be Ys Seven, Ys: The Oath in Felghana, Ys I & II Chronicles, and the trilogy The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky (mistakenly thought to be Road to the Sky by RPGamer earlier). If you want to learn more about how this deal came to be and what RPGamers in North America are in for, check out what XSEED's own Ken Berry had to say about the deal.
While yesterday Nihon Falcom announced the latest The Legend of Heroes title for Japan, during their investor Q&A it was revealed that the company plans to re-release The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky for modern platforms - though they don't quite know what form such a re-release might take.
If they released a physical collection of the original Trails of Sky, I would get it in a heartbeat.
Steam's annual Summer Sale is here again, and here's a couple of great deals for fans of Japanese games who aren't sure what to get!
Ys series producer Kondo talks about the series' past, and the upcoming Ys X in this interview commemorating the series' 35th anniversary.
I hope 10 is more like 8 or previous games . 9 wasn’t bad and had some good elements but the zones were annoying to have to clear enough orbs for points to get to next zone . Unnecessary imo. Combat was fun and story was ok but it wasn’t as good as 8 7 6 etc . It’s still one of my favorite franchises . Just bought Ys Book 1&2 on DS . I have the Turbo Grafx 16 copy also .
