The XBLA demo was great but hopefully its not the same exact demo. It prolly is either way. Good for PSNers to finally witness it.

i really liked the demo. Those who enjoy fast paced action type racers will like this game. Be it on 360 or ps3 it is a fun a$$ game.

It's just pure fun, you know when you played Red Faction demo and just though, well there's a flaw, who that texture doesn't look good and for one small moment you get the bigger picture and you realise YOUR DESTROYING BUILDINGS WITH A BIG HAMMER AND WATCHING IT CRUMPLE! At that points all your complaints disappear as you go for another strike. Well Split/Second is like that... you see flaws like fire may not look it's best, perhaps a bit unbalanced online etc then you gt the bigger picture of a Military aircraft landing on and around you, dodging engines and then you get a quad kill and you narrowly survive.

GET THE DEMO IT'S FUN!

It's either Blur or Split / Second for me... Tough choice.

hay5525d ago

Get Blur if it'll be at least mediocre. Split / Second demo was boring as hell for me.
Burnout controls, slower, heavier and once you get to be first, there's nothing to do through the rest of the race.

Opinion based on demo.

hay5525d ago

It's on PSN store since last week. At least on EU PSN.

Tommykrem5525d ago (Edited 5525d ago )

Yeah, it's been on PSN for some time. I thought PSN got it first.

mcnablejr5525d ago

i have had it more than a week on live.

keyserhitman5525d ago

the same time that psn got it then basically

playstation_clan5525d ago

just gets better and better for us ps3owners

BeaArthur5525d ago

You might change your tune after you play it. It reminds me of Crazy Taxi; really fun for about 30 minutes and then you're bored with it.

DA_SHREDDER5525d ago

I almost gave up on this game. Coming from a fan of Pure, I dont think that giving the psn users a demo 2 weeks later after the xbox live demo is cool at all? I talked to the devs of Pure when it was first released on a forum, and they seemed to not even care about the ps3 version at all. I asked if they could add in game music and they never replied. I hope they dont do the same for this title cause that alone is a make or break deal for me if Im gonna buy it new or not. Support the ps3 fanbase and we will buy.

orange-skittle5525d ago (Edited 5525d ago )

Who gives a rats azz when the demo comes out as long as it's before the game is released. You should be complaining that you can't have a free trail of an arcade game before you purchase it rather than XBL got the demo first. You sound like a 12 year old. Then the other moron above is screaming "SUPPORT MY CONSOLE." I didn't know you fools had shares in SONY? Grow the phuck up. There's a reason the developers didn't respond to you...it's because you're an idiot. Who complains about adding music to a damn demo. That's like asking Tiburon could they add commentary to Madden's demo. What does that have to do with the game?

I had this demo for a week now, PSN. I am in UK.

Blurs servers were the main issue but would love to see it return.

AZRoboto2905d ago

I'll point out that these games are all from the X360/PS3 era - they've already had HD releases when they first came out. Split/Second and Blur - with the crazy vehicle physics capable today, why would we not want sequels to them?

The other games, all a matter of opinion of course, but... thank you for your ads between every single game. /s

TheDCD2905d ago

Problem with sequels is that they aren't very likely. Activision dropped Blur like a bad habit, and Disney isn't doing games anymore. So I'll happily take the originals.

Relientk772905d ago

Remember Me
Enslaved: Odyssey to the West
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning

Miss_Weeboo2905d ago

Alan Wake
Lost Odyssey
Demon Souls

TheDCD2904d ago

As much as I'd kill for a Demon's Souls remake, isn't likely. We'll probably get Bloodborne 2 instead.

PhoenixUp2905d ago

Dafuq kinda title is that? These games were already released on HD consoles though...

Man I loved Split Second... I wonder why it never got a sequel?

Nekroo913587d ago

Didn't sold enough copies, the studio was reduced, etc. You know how things work.

barb_wire3587d ago

Disney shut the studio down. Damn shame too, awesome game.

Roccetarius3587d ago

As it was said, Disney shut it down due to it not being successful enough. With that said, a sequel could definitely have improved on Split Second's arcade madness.

Paytaa3587d ago

Split/Second and Blur were the two most under rated racers last gen. They were great games and wish there were potential sequels.

Roccetarius3587d ago (Edited 3587d ago )

Personally, i prefer games like that, more so Split Second than Blur. I also remember when i was playing Destruction Derby Raw back in the day.

GRIP is a game going to early access on Steam, because there wasn't enough people backing it on Kickstarter (unfortunately).

That's one of my only hopes for racers i enjoy.

Rookie_Monster3587d ago

Hoping for BC as I still got the XB1 disc and still play it time to time. This and Midnight Club LA along with Project Gotham Racing 4 are hidden racing gems from the X360 days.
