More God of War 3 Hate: In Defense of Hera

Bitmob contributer Evan Killham uses Greek mythology to respond to a recent GamePro interview with God of War 3 director Stig Asmussen, in which he says some pretty harsh things about Hera.

Despite her role in mythology, Hera was made that way in game and he talks about this specific role, not Hera in real life mythology.

Everyone can express their opinion about game characters. What's ridiculous, there are people who can feel offended when someone offends a game character.

Actualy Hera was sort of a whiny bitch, in Greek mythology, zues was always having afares with other mortal women, for that Hera was always jelious and was always drinking and growtchy. Mind my spelling lol.
Plus zues had many demigod sons.

But, just so I am clear, let me see if I understand this. Bitmob is upset over the portrayal of Hera in a fictitious story that is in the first place, partially based on a myth. Where was their "Inaccuracies in Modern Warfare 2" and "Violations of Scientific Law in HALO" articles?

Relax kids, it was a pretty funny article and it provides a noteworthy alternate perspective on the God of War tale. Just because it might seem to even slightly criticize GoWIII doesn't mean you should immediately pounce on it and rip it to shreds.

Hera was annoying, wasn't she ? It was satisfying when she finally shut up...but she wasn't killed off brutally like say, Helios or Hermes... that would have been the cause for unwanted negative feedback...thats what Asmussen is trying to say don't ya think ?

I must admit Hera's life must have been quite awful. First, her dad eats her and then her husband won't stop cheating on her. Her husband will cheat on her no matter what the cost. If he must change himself into a cockroach so that she won't notice him sneaking out, then so be it.

Kratos may have done her a favor by ending her effed-up life. However, Kratos would have made a better statement for himself had he banged the hell out Hera. It would have been the perfect expression of his hatred for Zeus. Plus, it would have made Hera feel much better; she might have even helped him. I can see it now.

Kratos: Yeah, Zeus before I kill you I want you to know I srewed your wife Hera.

Zeus: You sick dog, you screwed your father wife.

Kratos: What do you mean I'm sick?, you're the one who married his sister.
Zeus: Oh, Yeah. I forgot about that.

P.S.

Fighting, not arguing but truly fighting, with your wife is more damaging than getting struck by lightning.
