...Was releasing a MP demo for this. The first demo wasn't completely horrible but the following pretty much convinced mostly everyone who was looking forward to buying this to rather avoid it like AIDS.

Atrocious control scheme, unstable frame rate, and screen tearing out the wazoo.

Buy Monster Hunter Tri and a Wii instead.

I hope they fixed the problem with the co-op demo in which each player doesnt actually shoot the same enemy on screen. The weaker monsters dont appear where you see them compared to where your teammates see them.

It might be an engine flaw since games like Monster Hunter always had the problem. I hope they fixed this problem on the retail version cuz getting thrown around by an invisible enemy, though there's no damage, could still become fatal not to mention extremely annoying.

I'll probably get this game after the price goes down and after Red Dead Redemption.

It's easy to just call them Crapcom, but they have scored well with Dead Rising, DMC4, RE5, SF4, and SSF4 this generation. Your personal opinion aside, I'm not sure how one could look down on them in comparison to many of the worse titles from EA and Activision.

They ##cked up One of My Favorite Franchises, RE5 is CRAP, DMC4, IMO DMC is the Best, so I can't give a Fair Opinion when I know that all the Sequels are CRAP compared to the First One, SF4 is kind of Good, but not Great, Lost Planet wasn't that Good IMO, I don't Know, I just Only Hope that Capcom don't Screw-Up MvsC3

they need to get back to they roots! Japan style! they are too focus to get appeal to Western audience and not trying to create the games that made them big! bring some Breath of fire! Megaman legends 3, its a good start with Marvel vs. Capcom 3 but still need to more games from the past.

All the reviews i've heard are about the co-op being really fun. I like co-op but the single player should never have been sacrificed for it.

Capcom could've been onto a big franchise with the lost planet universe but they've messed it up.

They bought out cheatplanet in 2006 when they were founded in order to have a broader range of content. They're not a "cheat site", they have tons of features, reviews and previews posted every day, please educate yourself before making such comments.

This absolutely sucks. I'm one of the few that LOVED the first one. It was the second 360 (next gen) game I ever played. I didn't mind that my oxygen was depleting. I loved how the bugs were huge. All the enemies felt like bosses to me. I'm still going to atleast give this a bargain bin try as I've played other games that haven't scored well and enjoyed those.

me, too brotha! I really liked the first but I just goggled the crap outta LP2 reviews and man, they are not good. The save system sucks. No pop-in coop. I'm scared to Gamefly it and waste the 2nd space for Red Dead. (I have Battlefield for my other one and cannot let it go)

I loved the first game's demo, it really did appeal to me - but when i got the game and it prove itself to be so stupid i wasn't happy with it whatsoever. Crackdown came along and stole it's thunder.

I went back to LP but having really forced myself through it i got like 100 gamerscore in the end. I eventually tried MP and it was interesting, but gears was better.

I was hoping this would be a fun 4p romp to get some coop buddies into, which it still looks like, i'm just saddened it's still so 'japanese' in nature with bad ai, no checkpoints and poor waypointing.

im really getting tired of reviewers some can hit it right on sometimes but alot of the times they are so wrong like red faction that game is great i love it but never gave it a shot (till recently) cause of reviews..

your best bet now a days is to be a blockbuster, gamefly etc.. member and try the game your self.. then if its worth it buy it

capcom seems to be making mediocre games this generation because theyre games have been made to be the same on all hd consoles and people have been spoiled by ps3 exclusives which seems a generation ahead of the competition. ps3s first and second party devs have raised the bar in terms of gaming tech and some people refuse to see it. to each his own, some people might enjoy a lesser technological game to a more advanced one but the fact is that the ps3s gaming technology produced in a lot of the exclusives have gone unmatched by other console games and has only been equated or surpassed by other ps3 exclusives. some people enjoy playing super nintendo games instead of the current gen of console games which is totally ok because everyones an individual and have a mind of their own. a lot of games seem a bit mediocre these days when theyre compared to certain exclusives because a lot of multiplatform games are pushing gaming boundaries.

Just like the Halo Reach & Blur Beta reminded me in spades..playing a game with 3 close friends over LIVE is PURE fun.

The funny part is reviews like this can't even contain the fact that the game is fun.

The 4 player co-op campaign and the huge multi-player might give this game the following that this title needs to succeed..in fact the only summarized knock this guy had on the game is that it didn't concentrate on the solo campaign??

Hey the left 4 Dead 2 series didn't either andit turned out just fine. Comparing the single player campaign of Uncharted 2 to this completely different planet of a game is pretty silly...as great as that title was..UC2 is UC2..until Drake starts fighting Collossal Beasts with 3 other players..let OTHER games breathe..

Again..can't wait till next week..even bought an extra title as a gift

It's kind of ridiculous that people are taking this man's word as gospel. Play what you think is fun. If you loved the demos then why not get it? I guarantee you that the reviewer didn't like the demos and therefore didn't like the game. It's not like he loved the demos and hated the game, it means you just enjoy different things. Not everyone is the same. Most of the complaints with this game are things I have already experienced in the demos and found that I could easily get past them. They don't bother me at all, I just think people love to complain. 7/10 is far from a horrible score. If you don't want to get the game then don't, but saying a "good" score is mediocre is simply ignorant. Mediocre means the game is moderate or low quality, meaning 5/10 or less. Get over it.
