I-Play: Live Leaderboards – Why I Made Marcus Beard My Mortal Enemy

Those little sounds as I manage to do something as complicated and unbelievable as go down the fireman’s pole in Ghostbusters or press the start button to pause the game in Eat Lead really make me feel like a better gamer.

Showing off these unparalleled feats pisses off my friends, but who cares? I managed to to get a platinum in Terminator Salvation!

I could write an entire article about the joys of beating people with my large and rather intimidating Trophy level. But, out of the kindness of my heart, I shan’t do that in fear of insulting those less fortunate than I. (Maybe next week?)

My point here is that I recently discovered a new way to flex my gaming muscle. Xbox Live Leaderboards allow me to directly compete with my friends in a different way, by destroying their score.
