Game Observer: Endless Ocean: Blue World Review

When Endless Ocean was released a few years ago, it was considered a wonderfully relaxing experience. Still, the diving game wasn't considered much of an achievement by many. Its sequel Endless Ocean: Blue World seeks to appease those looking for a more structured and traditional game experience while trying to maintain its identity as a unique experience at the same time.

GameXplain: Endless Ocean: Blue World Review

GameXplain Says: "Playing Through Endless Ocean 2 was quite an endeavor for me. We’ve had the game in the office since launch, but it was always hard to find time to play a game like this. When was I to find time to play a game that revolved around relaxation and discovery? Ever since my first moment booting up the game, I was mystified. What sort of an experience was this? Several hours of undersea exploration later, and I’m still trying to answer this question. With Endless Ocean 2: Blue World, developer Arika has taken what was essentially a non-game and turned it into a semi-educational title filled to the brim with content. Endless Ocean Blue World: Reviews, Sales Rank, Data Debut

CoffeewithGames.Blogspot.com shows Endless Ocean: Blue World's debut data on the Nintendo Channel this week, while comparing it with the original Endless Ocean's data.

CwG even compares Endless Ocean 2's debut data, with that of No More Heroes 2's, saying at one point, "I do find it interesting Endless Ocean: Blue World has already debuted on the Nintendo Channel, because it actually debuted almost as fast as No More Heroes 2 did. No More Heroes 2 debuted in 41 days, compared to 43 for Endless Ocean 2, but No More Heroes 2 also had 6,997 fewer "Total Hours" on its debut, than Endless Ocean: Blue World does."

I wonder if it was simply the lower price of Endless Ocean: Blue World, compared to No More Heroes 2, that caused it to have a higher debut?

Lower price, online play, and the Wii Speak bundle, all probably helped Endless Ocean.

Yea, I guess I'm just surprised that Endless Ocean seems to be performing as well as No More Heroes 2.
I guess, No More Heroes isn't as popular as I thought it was.

Blast Magzine: Endless Ocean: Blue World Review

Blast Magazine writes: "The original Endless Ocean was a special little title that many people missed upon release. The aquatic explorer was unlike almost anything else on the market at that point-it was a game that, in many ways, wasn't a game at all. You swam around in reefs, discovered, pet and fed fish, enjoyed the detailed, realistic scenery of the ocean–all while learning about aquatic life in the process. It certainly wasn't the kind of thing you see on the wish list of today's gamer, but despite this, it was a relaxing retreat from the missions and the violence we all love so much in our video games."
