The Federal Office for Information Security in Germany has issued a warning to its citizens to switch to an alternative to Firefox 3.6 due to a serious vulnerability discovered in the current version.
I thought this was about Microsoft at first, with a "serious vulnerability" lmao!
Germany talking about a serious 'vulnerability' makes me nervous. Poland will be the first to go.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not a nazi but I thought your comment was funny ^^
I can't believe people still make these nazi jokes since Germany is a multi-cultural country. Not quite like America, but it's quickly getting there ^^
Don't mention the war! I mentioned it once but I think I got away with it!
How does this not get removed yet mine about a month back about Blitzkrieg against the Poles did, double standards.
Oh dear, well I'll take my chances, I've read 'this' countless times in the past and never had any problems. Guess it all depends what you go clicking on, whether its shady or not.
can i go back to the 3.5 version?
Download it from any archive site that has it. Uninstall current version, the install the old version. Simple.
Here is a great site for just that kind of thing: http://www.oldversion.com/
i just updated mine yester night guess im gonna have to uninstall and go back the the previous version.
Germany uses Linux because they stated Windows have alot of secuirty issues
All governments I know of use Linux since it's more secure and is free (GPL free no $0) allowing them to modify it in any way the wish witohut permission from MS But yeah, looks like I'll have to switch back to 3.5... doing that here in a minute.
all the way.
Get SR Ware Iron, it's chrome without the spyware, while I do agree with you that chrome is better in some areas I just can't ditch FF because the add-ons are great. An article for confirmation: http://www.favbrowser.com/g...
The problem is, wouldn't the previous versions be even more insecure than this one?
Correct. Mozilla also recommended that rolling back to previous versions would be even worse.
Seriously.... Either way I use Ubuntu and MAC OSX.
I'm using Firefox 3.6 right now. Are any of you looking at my files?
Good news.. 3.6.2 is out in full http://n4g.com/tech/News-49...
