G&P Reviews Perfect Dark
Originally released in 2000 on the Nintendo 64, Perfect Dark was the spiritual sequel to the legendary FPS Goldeneye. Leaving the James Bond license behind, developers Rare built on an already excellent game and pushed the N64 to its limits to create the most lavish and content-rich shooter of its time.
Ten years on and 4J Studios has revived the spy-based tour de force for Xbox Live Arcade. As with their other N64-to-XLBA ports of Rare’s Banjo-Kazooie games, they’ve done an exemplary job of staying true to the original title while giving it a significant facelift.
