GamerInside.net: Metro 2033 Review
Creating a FPS that completely draws you in is a hard job. After all there are so many things that can go wrong and this is especially true when the company tries to make an international release of the game not made in US, UK or anywhere where English is the primary language. Luckily Metro hits all the right notes.
Based on the books of the same name by Russian sci-fi author Dmitriy Glukhovskiy, Metro 2033 tells the story of an almost annihilated humanity. Sometime in the future war broke out and nuclear weapons made sure we are almost extinct. Humans can’t live in the cities any more due to radiation, storms and harsh conditions and therefore most of the people that survived the war in Moscow retreated into metro stations. Radiation also mutated creatures that now roam the world and people are constantly reminded of this threat as they seek to find more survivors hoping that they are not the only one out there.
