Lord of the Rings Co-op RPG Announced

ResumePlay writes: Warner Bros. just announced The Lord of the Rings: War in the North, a new action/RPG that will be coming out next year.

The game is based off the books of Tolkien more than the movies, as it explores new ground in the northern areas of Middle-Earth. The game will take place during the War of the Ring, and will allow players to choose their own heroes as they battle the forces of Sauron. The game will feature extensive character customization, a first for Lord of the Rings games, and a feature that makes this much more of an RPG than the trio of action games last gen (which were based off the movies).
