GamingUnion.net: "In the end HeartGold and SoulSilver might not add anything new to the series, but it certainly does a wonderful job of summing up everything that makes the Pokemon franchise so much fun. With the ability to catch almost every single creature and experience every element of gameplay introduced so far, HeartGold/SoulSilver is definitely worth purchasing, even if you've already experienced the originals. Online connectivity and the impressive length add to the game's value, but ultimately the game serves as a tidy bridge for players to move their virtual monsters into the next generation of Pokemon. Even so, it's a fun bridge, and one that any fan of the series (or of simple RPGs) should cross."

There’s no denying that the Nintendo DS was a very beefy little fella in its day. The handheld would even see a ton of epic, sprawling RPGs.
Old video games can be ridiculously expensive. Rarity is the common theme among the most expensive titles, no matter how unimpressive the game is.

a formula that never fails
Better than the other reviews *COUGH IGN*
That reviewer is wrong when he says nothing new was added. The ablity for any pokemon to follow you is a new feature that has been requested since...wel forever.
