Great list. I was ready to yell at you if you didn't put Castle Crashers on there, but you did.
"We very much set out to make an engaging co-op game. In fact, the biggest complaint I hear is that there are not enough co-op games out there as most games are head-to-head style. The first thing we did was to make sure that both characters that you play have different abilities so that some of the fun is exploiting the strengths of each. Pretty much all co-op games have two characters that are clones of each other so we hope to open things up a bit. The gameplay itself is seen as an over-the-shoulder third person from the perspective of one character’s point of view. We are honing the gameplay for use over the Internet so there is not split-screen mode."
that's ironically the idea behind Half Life 2 episode 1 (the whole underground section where you have the light and Alix the gun (despite it being single player, that was the best idea of coop interaction ever)
Looks like an interesting title, but I miss the days of split screen co-op... I understand online gaming is "where it's at," but sometimes I just like playing with a buddy on the same TV.
I'm interested in seeing how this game turns out. I have a friend who would probably play it with me. Knowing us, though, we'd just fight over who gets to play the hot elf chick. ;)
Pretty keen on this one when it arrives on consoles. Good to see the year isn't tailing off too much as the awful 'Hollywood months' start to gather pace.
