Joe Danger is a very promising PlayStation Network game coming this spring. If Excitebike and Trials HD had a baby, it would look something like this. You are a motorcycle stunt rider crashing through a colorful cartoon world collecting stars and impressing the crowds. The developers at Hello Games are trying to recreate the thrill of playing Excitebike and creating their own tracks back in the day on the NES, but are also updating it with modern visuals, physics, and two-player splitscreen support.
Hello Games founder Sean Murray said the letter "broke our hearts and made us want to set things right". It has now been relaunched on iOS.
What an amazing story, Joe Danger was a fantastic game and hearing about these kinds of stories makes me much happier than hearing adults bicker back and forth about which animations a game is re-using and the amount of pixels on the screen.
This is what gaming is really about and I feel like some people just tend to forget that
