VGChartz: Blur Beta Impressions

Mario Kart, Project Gotham Racing, Need for Speed and WipEout are all frequently name-dropped in relation to Blur, and with good reason. Blur is a combat/arcade racer which seems to take inspiration from all of these titles. The handling is a mix of arcade and kart racer, so it’s nothing if not accessible. The colour scheme is bold – it’s almost like a neon-lit Project Gotham or Need for Speed, with constant barrages of colour and activity, thanks in no small part to the weapon drops and other power-ups which would feel right at home in a WipEout game.
