Gamervision says, ""Resident Evil 5: Lost in Nightmares," the last bit of downloadable content to hit Capcom’s Resident Evil 5, wasn’t bad, but it certainly was a few hundred feet from good. There simply wasn’t enough action, and the gameplay felt much more similar to the original fixed-camera Resident Evil titles than it did the more recent releases. It followed Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield in a prequel of sorts, filling in some gaps left intentionally empty in the original game. For that reason, it was definitely worth playing for any fans of the title, but beyond that, it was hard to recommend the download, even at the $5 price point. Now, with their second batch of downloadable content in "Desperate Escape," Capcom is taking a much different approach. If "Lost in Nightmares" was the quintessential early Resident Evil title, than "Desperate Escape" moves the needle to the opposite side of the spectrum, with the white-knuckle action that defined the later games in the series.
