The Lost Gamer writes "With an eventual Metacritic score of 86 Battlefield Bad Company was met with mixed reviews when it released in 2008 and with the die-hard fans of the Call of Duty series keeping those rose tinted glasses on, it was hard for Electronic Arts to push through and win over the critics. However those gamers that had been subjected to the Battlefield franchise on PC knew exactly what to expect with the first console outing for the series and were an instant win for the game, yet too many doubters meant that the Call of Duty war machine kept rolling on.
