Seriously it actually takes place in Canada. Many of the games on your list just have a level in Canada and aren't actually set there.

I think Caveman Games for the nes(i believe) was my favorite all time Olympic type game. Button mashing fun for hours. Used to make my thumbs bleed and blister.
