Bethesda Softworks today released a number of new screenshots for their upcoming game Star Trek: Legacy for the Xbox 360 console.
Brash Games writes, "So, some pretty big news this week. In case you hadn’t heard, PlayStation 4 is to be revealed on February 20th, JJ is directing Episode VII and Ross owns a human skull…..who the hell owns a human skull"?

Atari sent out a new trailer for Star Trek Online showing the Klingon Faction doing its thing. It also gives us a brief look at the game's space combat.
I have never been into these simulation type games. You know airplanes and tanks and such, but Bethesda I was a Morrowind fan but now I am and utter Oblivion Fanboy. They have me on their side so if this thing is half decent they wont get to many complaints from me. I think Bethesda has learned alot about content updates and I consider them the leader in this realm. I would expect that this game would continue the trend and just keep growing.
The problem with this game is the same problem with recent Star Trek movies and TV shows. Star Trek is supposed to be about exploring "strange new worlds" and to "seek out new life and" blah, blah, blah. You know, science fiction.
This is just a dumb space shooter with some light strategy thrown in. Now imagine if they had done a game like Mass Effect. You could still have the space battles, but what if the amount of help you got from NPCs(klingons, vulcans, etc)depended on the relationships you have developed with them before hand, during the (non-existent here)adventure/exploration parts of the game. Star Trek needs to evolve, or die.
