Borderlands General Knoxx DLC Dated and Priced

Borderlands Developer Gearbox Software have confirmed that the latest expansion pack for the game, The Secret Armory of General Knoxx will be released on the Xbox 360 tomorrow - February 23rd!

The DLC will set Xbox 360 Borderlands fans back 800 Microsoft Points - around $10 in real money - and then the expansion will release on PC and PS3 two days later on February 25th for $9.99 - wait two days and save yourselves a whole penny!

The Secret Armory of General Knoxx is highly anticipated by Borderlands fans as it raises the overall level-cap for the game and also adds all-new loot to grab. It also features the requisite new areas, enemies and expansion of the game storyline.

Still trying to drag myself through Mad Moxxi just so I don't feel like I totally wasted money on it.

Such a waste of 800 points, it's the exact same thing 75 times over. (Albeit spread over 3 locations).
(75 coming from 3, 20 round matches and 3, 5 round matches).

Don't even know if I'll bother picking this up tbh.
I enjoyed the game when I was playing it, (hated the complete lack of a proper story though, but that's off topic), however the previous 2 DLC packs have been very meh imo.

I know what you mean. I picked up Mad Moxxi and just have no desire to plow through it. This new DLC, however, sounds like it's back to business as usual (ie. killing, looting, leveling up, etc). I've been hearing alot of positive news about it.

Despite Borderlands Movie Flop, Series Saw Boost in Sales; Take-Two to Be Selective on Licensing IPs

Take-Two admits the Borderlands movie was disappointing, though it still contributed to the game catalog's sales.

"we don’t really need to break out the contribution from the film because while it was economically positive"

Come on, there was nothing positive about it, it literally bled money...not really economically.

Daeloki171d ago

No there was not. The same way there was no Dragon Ball live action movie, nor an Avatar the Last Airbender live action movie :)

Polish a turd to make a what?!

So the movie cost 155 million to produce and another 30 million dollars to promote . Borderlands movie brought in around 31 million worldwide . So basically, the Borderlands movie was a 154 million commercial for Borderlands video game franchise.
