With the fourth installment in the main Command & Conquer franchise set to debut in just a few weeks, EA is running a special promotion for those who’ve not had a chance to play the previous games in the series or for those who want a refresher on what happened before to prepare for the next generation battles that lay ahead.

Although the price tag is set at a hefty $0.00, it may require some time and effort to get the older games to run on your modern gaming machine.

I wasn’t a big fan of the Red Alert sequels although the first one is still one of my favorite games of all time so what they’re giving you are in my mind are the best games in the franchise, all of which feature the infamous Kane, leader of the brotherhood of NOD.

Commander & Conquer 4 hits shelves March 16th in North America and March 19th in Europe for the PC only.
