Jason from Game-Smack.net reviews Mass Effect 2. With many people stating that Uncharted 2 was the best game of 2009, has Mass Effect 2 taken the crown from Nathan Drake as being the best game out right now?
...in this game. I spent 2 hours reading the Codex...the literature is soooo deep. Hell, this game even has its own type of Gamestop,"...trade 2 used games for 1 new?" Great game...
As for Uncharted 2, it is a linear short shooter like U1, not even a rent for me, since i hated U1 was extremely linear and repeatitive, thus very boring
Mass Effect 2 is huge, 50+ hours, non linear, complex, deep, has a team of upgradable charatcers, weapons and super powers in combat, a huge galaxy to explore in non linear way, dialogs with NPC's, multiple quests etc etc
There is no comparisson between the two titles, it is like comparing Baldur Gate to doom
i was explaining from overall quality.. Uncharted 1 has better visuals then ME1 as well as a much more friendly yet fun story drivin gameplay. and it wasnt a technical disaster like ME1 was.
as far as Uncharted 2 goes,it once again out performes ME2 in everyway possible all while staying EXCLUSIVE to the ps3 and no other platform of anykind :)
cant really omcpare the two exccept for the shooting elements and Uncharted 2 takes that crown.. as for rpg elements (witch ME2 has hardly of),then ME2 would have to take that crown as U2 is not an RPG of any sorts. visuals in Uncharted 2 though are way ahead of ME2's.
First you say the game is "so over rated", then you say it deserves a 9.2. I find that strange because 9.2 isn't that big of a difference from the 9.6 average that it has.
I have the game for PC and I think its a great game but I don't think it deserves more than a 9.0. It runs great, looks great, and has a great story but at the same time it is buggy, has long load times, and is very light on RPG elements. It has more in common with a third person shooter and a GTA type game combined. So if you are expecting a real RPG experience this game is not going to be for you.
The load times are very long on the PC version and from what I understand there shorter on the PC than on the Xbox 360 and the game loads every time you go to a new place or planet so expect to do a lot of waiting. thats the only real annoyance for me.
The game doesn't need to be compared to another game to justify weather someone thinks it deserves a lower or higher score. I based the score I would give the game solely on ME2 and nothing else.
I don't know how things are on the PC, but I didn't find the loading times on the 360 to be too long. They seemed about average to me. I'm sure that is helped by the fact that I installed the game to my HDD, though. Made a big difference.
Besides that, I think the game deserves any score it gets between an 8.5 to a 9.8. I think it just depends on preference and expectations for a game like this.
The game is a tad bit lite on the RPG elements, but I feel like I like this game more because it did away with a lot extra stuff that really wasn't needed.
And I can honestly say this game is all hype and it's majorly generic don't be a sucker and rush out and buy this thinking it will be as good as the reviews say
I guess the PS3 fanboys are pretty much convinced this game isn't coming to PS3 now hence the resumed fanboy attacks, after they were behaving just a week ago, when it comes to this game.
best graphics actually the only thing me2 beats uc2 in is story so both games r a must buy but people need to except the fact that the action in uc2 is the best experience this gen so far period
what is it with people relating multi gamers with one another?

I find it comforting that there's a site made specifically for the heroin addicted gamer such as myself.
