PSFocus writes: "Relentless Software will not make anyone immediately ring a bell, but if we "Buzz!" Say, then surely. This developer has for years been developing the "Buzz! series "and has now decided to do something else. The result: Blue Toad Murder Files: The Mysteries of Little Riddle. A group game with the aim to jointly solve several mysteries. The game will consist of 6 episodes in this review we discuss the first two."
Independent studio Relentless Software has removed the mandatory price tag from Murder Files as they kick off a 'pay what you want' campaign, with 20% of proceeds going to charity GamesAid.
CEO Andrew Eades admits it's "an experiment as much as anything" and didn't want price to block PC gamers from discovering Murder Files. This could happen more in the future.
Pocket Gamer: Blue Toad Murder Files doesn't feel like a port of a PS3 game. It feels like a title that's found its rightful home after a couple of years of wandering. The simple gameplay translates perfectly to the touchscreen of your iOS device, and the gentle pace is perfect for an evening spent reclining on the sofa.
It's by no means a perfect game, and there are some issues with load times in particular with this version, but if you're looking for a series of interconnected mini-games held together by comedy stereotypes then you're in for something of a treat.
Relentless Software co-founder Andrew Eades has revealed some very tasty sales figures for Blue Toad Murder Files.
The charming and child-friendly digital-only title has now reached over 500k sales for its episodes, with the number jumping to 827k when free episodes are included.
